Taking a screenshot of your screen is super helpful when contacting support.  If you’re in need of support, it makes things a whole lot easier if we can see the same issue you see.

Here's how you can take a screenshot to send to us: 

Mac OS X

Taking the Screenshot

  1. Hold down the "Command" and "Shift" keys, then press the number "4" key.
  2. Your cursor will become a crosshair icon.
  3. Drag around the portion of the screen you want to send and release.

Sending the Screenshot

  1. The screenshot file should automatically save to your desktop.
  2. Attach the file to your email and send!

Windows

Taking the Screenshot

  1. Press the "PrtScn" key.
  2. Open the "Paint" application.
  3. Hold down the "Ctrl" key and press the "V" key to paste the screenshot.
  4. Save the file to your desktop.

Sending the Screenshot

  1. The screenshot file should be saved on your desktop.
  2. Attach the file to your email and send!

iPhone & iPad

Taking the Screenshot

  1. Press and hold the lock button at the top of the device.
  2. Press and release the home button on the front of the device.
  3. The screen should flash white to indicate a screenshot was taken.
  4. Release both buttons and you're done!

Sending the Screenshot

  1. Open the Apple Photos app.
  2. Browse to the photo of the screenshot you just took.
  3. Tap on the share button and select Mail to send the screenshot.

Android

Taking the Screenshot (Method 1)

  1. Press and hold both the Volume down button and the Power button for 1 or 2 seconds.
  2. Release both buttons.
  3. The screen should flash. (you may also hear a shutter noise)

Taking the Screenshot (Method 2)

  1. Long Press and hold the Power button for 1 or 2 seconds.
  2. Tap on "Take screenshot".

Sending the Screenshot (Method 1)

  1. Go on your Android notifications by sliding down on the status bar at the top of the screen.
  2. Expand the screenshot notification with two fingers.
  3. Tap on the "Share" action.
  4. Select the email of your choice to email the screenshot.

Sending the Screenshot (Method 2)

  1. Open the Gallery application.
  2. Browse to the folder "Screenshot".
  3. Tap on the photo of the screenshot you just took.
  4. Tap the "Share" action in top bar.
  5. Select the email of your choice and email the screenshot.
