Acuity needs PayPal to notify us of a successful payment before an appointment is added to your calendar. In some cases PayPal may disable instant payment notification (IPN), which prevents us from receiving notifications.
Here’s how you can fix it:
- Log into your PayPal account and click "Profile" at the top of the page.
- Click "My Selling Tools."
- Under "Getting paid and managing risk", click "Update" next to "Instant payment notification." and make sure instant payment notification is turned on.
- If asked for an IPN URL, use this one https://secure.acuityscheduling.com/scheduleIPN.php
If you are using the newer version of Paypal, you might see something slightly different.
- Log into your PayPal account and click "Profile" at the top of the page.
- Choose "Profile and Settings" from the drop-down menu.
- Click on "My Selling Preferences."
- Under "Getting paid and managing risk", click "Update" next to "Instant payment notification." and make sure instant payment notification is turned on.
- If asked for an IPN URL set it to https://secure.acuityscheduling.com/scheduleIPN.php
