Why can't my clients install apps?

You clients might report that they aren't able to install new apps to their tablets.

As part of the Patient Tablet Access Platform, we do not permit end-users (your clients) to install or access applications that were not previously approved by your team as part of their treatment plan. It is against our Terms of Service for clients to install new applications on their own, and we have safeguards in place to prevent this activity, including limiting or restricting access to app marketplaces and restricting the ability to install third-party applications (APK) directly on the device.

If you would like your clients to have access to additional applications, you can either request we add the apps, or you can pre-approve a list of applications that are available, but aren't installed on all devices using a pre-approved app store.

Distribute New Apps For Clients

If you would like to add apps to one or more client tablets, you can contact our support team using live chat, sending an email to support@continuud.com, or by calling 844-610-4280. We are able to distribute apps on-demand to any number of your client devices. Using this method will ensure that apps are available on your client devices immediate, and cannot be uninstalled by the user. This is ideal for any apps that are critical to the client treatment plans.

Pre-Approved App Store

If you would like to provide your clients with the freedom to browse and select from a variety of additional applications to install on their devices - a selection of mindfulness, meditation, and journaling apps, for example - we can create a custom app store for your clients. The apps in this store must comply with our terms of service, meaning they can't provide access to general social network, video/radio streaming, or adult content. The purpose of the apps will need to tie back to a healthcare purpose.

The benefit of using this approach is that your clients will get to explore different tools and find the ones that work best for them. This will encourage the users to use the devices more often.

The downside of this approach is that the applications are not automatically installed on the user's device until the client selects it for installation, and users can uninstall the application from the device at any time.
